From the diaries of Caspian X, King of Narnia: NarniaMUSH has been a hotbed of activity recently! _Item_: King Peter and King Eustace inform me that the giant killer badger, spotted by young Thizzletwit in the old woods, was none other than harmless old Fizzia, who had scolded the young scamp for mocking her foundation garments. _Item_: I am alarmed at the incursions from Calormen. Two of our royal subjects have been brutally murdered by magic-users of that land, and I hear of brutalities--to Narnians, even!-- that occur in the dread salt mines of Pugrahan. We may be in danger... I even hear rumors that Coranesh Tisroc is casting his eyes towards the north.... _Item_: Mrs. Cotterly has visited Cair Paravel again to seek my audience. She complained of the goings-on in the Mousetrap tavern. One would think they had turned the place into a house of ill fame, from the way she nattered on. My servant Shelby investigated the matter, discovering that the old bag... I mean, my loyal subject, Mrs. Cotterly, had merely stumbled into good centaur Kerrydan's bachelor party. True, Aravis Tarkeena jumped out of a cake and performed the dance of the 22 veils to add to the revelry, but Mrs. Cotterly should know full well that the Tarkeena tends to appear scantily clad every day. _Reminder_: Ask Shelby to investigate why I failed to receive an invitation to said bachelor party. / _ _ _ |\ | |\ /| | | \ | _. _ _ ' _. | \/ | _ | _ | \ | '_| |' ` |' ` | '_| | |( \ (_ |' ` | \| (__\ | | | | (__\ | | \__)__)| | | ` ' ` ' ` -' NarniaMUSH is a TinyMUSH 2.0 based on "The Chronicles of Narnia" novels by C.S. Lewis. The most well known of these is _The_Lion, _the_Witch_and_the_Wardrobe_. NarniaMUSH is set just after _The_Voyage_of_the_Dawn_Treader_, though some liberties have been taken with the story line. The four young Kings and Queens have returned to Narnia, as have many of the creatures and characters from the other novels. NarniaMUSH boasts the following features: - The Characters. There are still a few Feature Characters, those named in the books, that have not yet been claimed. Drop by and ask one of our wizards for help! Of course, making your own character from scratch is more fun, and we have some handy tools to help you get yourself set up and ready to play. - Quests! Now that most of the lands and islands are complete, we're always having adventures and expeditions. Some are spontaneous, others pre-planned. Some last a few hours, a few take weeks! Come join in! - The Lands! Within Narnia itself, the Lantern Waste, Beaversdam, Beruna, the Dancing Lawn, Marshwiggle Marshes, the Forests and Cair Paravel are all built, and ready to explore. Archenland's good King Nain has done a wonderful job, and Anvard castle and the Pass into Narnia are some of the best building we have. The wilds of Telmar to the west are rumoured to be haunted, and to the far south, the vast Calormene Desert has been known to devour those who enter. The southern land of Calormen is present--its many towns and cities possess a unique Arabian flair. (Not everything is done, however. If you enjoy building, there will be something there for you!) - An Ocean. Ships can be constructed to sail between the many islands of Narnia's Eastern Ocean. While the system is detailed, it is designed to be easy to use and requires virtually no training. There are about fifteen ships sailing the oceans, between such islands as Galma, Terebinthia, The Lone Islands, Dragon Island, Dark Island, Isle of the Voices, and the Last Sea. A few from the books remain to be built, while others still are waiting in your imagination! - A weather system. Most exterior rooms change with the times of day, seasons of the year, winds and precipitation. The system is easy to use, and very detailed. Weather rooms may even use the global spoofer, so that creatures in the room see and hear the weather changing.
